Corsair DASH 750 dazzles in Australia while Sprint 750 MK II set to surprise in Annapolis

The Sprint 750 MK II will be unveiled at the Annapolis Sailboat Show which opens in the USA today.

Corsair's DASH 750 has been dazzling Australian audiences with two wins in the country's biggest multihull regattas. Meanwhile, today, on the other side of the world in the USA, the Annapolis Boat Show opens - with the all new Sprint 750 MK II on display!

The Corsair DASH 750 has been dazzling Australian crowds in recent weeks.

Last weekend, the DASH 750 finished in first place overall at the Lock Crowther Regatta, Pittwater, Sydney.

A fortnight earlier, the DASH finished first in the trailerable multihull division of the Corsair Seawind Multihull Championships in Sydney where it was racing against much bigger boats (click here for photos).

In both regattas, the DASH was skippered by Linda Renouf and crewed by husband, David, who doubles as Corsair’s Australian Dealer. At the Nationals, they were joined by daughter Sophie.

Meanwhile, today, on the other side of the world in the USA, the Annapolis Sailboat Show will open. Corsair Marine has chosen Annapolis, which is the biggest sail boat show in the US, to unveil its much anticipated Sprint 750 MK II.

The Sprint 750 MK II comes with big expectations and, accordingly, has been nominated for Sailing World’s 2012 Boat of the Year. The Sprint 750 MK II is sure to surprise and delight. The new deck is modern, vibrant and fresh. It has also taken the rigging, hull, beams and more buoyant floats of the proven DASH 750 to make an amazing day sailor.

While the DASH 750 is the pocket cruiser with its spacious cabin, the Sprint 750 MK II is the day sailor with its huge cockpit. For those with an interest in racing, the introduction of the MK II is an incredibly exciting development for both sets of owners. With identical hulls, floats and rigging, a brand new C750 Class has just been created. That means lots of arm wrestling out on the water between the Sprint 750 MK II and DASH 750 owners!

After winning the Australian Multihull Championship in Brisbane, Linda, David and Sophie put the DASH on the trailer and began towing it back to Sydney – via the Hunter Valley for “some well deserved bubbly”.

Congratulations to Linda, David and Sophie You are terrific examples of the DASH 750 and now, the Sprint 750 MK II, creating further choices and closer families.
