Tim Martin at the helm of Corsair Marine's national dealership in Vietnam (and his Sprint 750)

Corsair Marine International is delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Martin as our exclusive national dealer for Vietnam.

Corsair Marine International (CMI) is delighted to announce that Tim Martin will take on the national dealership for Vietnam. Tim Martin's Corsair Marine Vietnam is based on the coast in Mui Ne which is approximately a 4 hour drive from CMI's factory and head office in Saigon. Mui Ne is famous for its wind and a number of international kiteboarding championships are held there annually.

CMI's Manager for Marketing and Business Development said, "CMI is delighted to appoint Tim Martin as our National Dealer in Vietnam. Sailing is a relatively new activity in Vietnam and therefore, it is particularly important that we have an active, visual presence.

"Tim, as our Dealer, can do that far more effectively than what we can do from Saigon in our Head Office / factory where we build our trimarans to sell through our global dealer network. Tim can stimulate and grow the domestic market by continually showing people Corsair Marine's trimarans sailing past and fast!

In my childhood I had frequent dreams of swimming under the water and having gills like a fish. Much more comfortable in and on the water than on land. I was also very attracted to the sparkling, hypnotic pulse of the sunlight dancing on the water.

As a teenager growing up in Seattle, Washington, I started sailing in Puget Sound with friends and was very keen on sailing any time the opportunity presented itself.

Sailing adventures in the Caribbean and the Bay of Biscay taught me respect for the awesome power of the wind and the unpredictable nature of the ocean.

Recently I started doing some racing and the intensity of the competition is very exciting. I first came to Vietnam 18 months ago because of my interest in kite boarding and the great wind I’d heard about. I ‘d never been on a Corsair multihull, let alone a “rocket on water”, like the Sprint 750. After just one ride, I decided to buy one.

And the more I considered the great potential for sailing in Vietnam, the more interest I felt in exploring the possibility of a dealership with Corsair Marine. We are now very excited to be the exclusive, national dealer for Corsair Marine International in Vietnam and have already sold our first sailboat!

MysticFish Charters is the first fully licensed sailboat charter company in Mui Ne, Ben Thuan Province and we’ve been very well received!

The Corsair product line is produced to a high standard of excellence and its performance is award winning. With many marinas still on the drawing board here in Vietnam, these multihulls with their shallow draft and ease of transportation, are truly perfect for the 3,000 kilometers of wind blown coastline that Vietnam has to offer.
